Queue Manager
Setting Job Processing Options
You can set up a queue so that processing of incoming jobs does
not occur. This is called a Bypass queue. The job is sent directly to
the queue with no pre-processing: The queue does not validate
the job's attributes against the queue’s supported attributes. If any
subordinate device cannot print the job, you are informed when
job scheduling fails.
To Set Job Processing Options
1. Select the Job Processing Options detail.
2. Select from the following Job Processing by System options:
Allow: Job processing is performed. This is the default
selection.
Bypass: If this is selected, you can only set the following
four queue properties:
– Schedule Jobs at Printer > By Priority (Job Priority)
– Keep Completed Jobs (Job Retention Period)
– Post-processing Program
– Printer Requested (Output Device)
NOTE: A Bypass queue cannot be used for job splitting.
3. Click OK to save your entries and return to the Queue Status
window.
