Introduction
It is Cisco policy to document all bugs that can be encountered in released product.  The
(BST) is used to find such bugs.  See the
 page for
general assistance in using this tool.
One limitation of BST is that the bugs that apply to a given product cannot always be found when
searching for that particular product.  For example, when searching for bugs that apply to the
Cisco 5520 Wireless Controller, no bugs are found.  This article explains how to find bugs that
apply to different Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Access Point (AP) products.
Note: When entering version numbers, do not use the "dotted quad" style notation (for example
8.0.120.0), as BST does not understand that format; instead, use the w.x(y.z) notation, for
example, 8.0(120.0).
AireOS Wireless LAN Controller Bugs
For all Wireless LAN Controllers that run AireOS, applicable bugs will be found in BST by
searching on:
Product: Series/Model = Cisco 5508 Wireless Controller
This applies to the 2500 Series, 5500 series, 8500 Series, Flex 7500 Series, WiSM2, and Virtual
Wireless LAN Controller (as well as to older AireOS WLCs.)

 Access Point Bugs
For all Cisco Aironet Access Points that run Cisco IOS (whether lightweight or autononomous),
applicable bugs will be found in BST by searching on:
Product: Series/Model = Cisco Aironet 3700 Series
This applies to all Aironet 802.11a/11g/11n and 11ac Wave 1 APs and bridges
(see
 for the complete list.)
COS Access Point Bugs
For all Cisco Aironet Access Points that run the COS operating system, applicable bugs will be
