Chapter 3  MeetingPlace Web Concepts and Functions
Meeting Preferences
When a MeetingPlace profile user schedules a meeting, there are
several preferences that can be set that determine how the
meeting will be conducted. Examples of meeting preferences
include whether to:
Automatically announce callers as they attend or depart
Require that participants enter a password prior to entering
the meeting
Allow participants to listen to a roll call of meeting attendees
MeetingPlace automatically assigns meeting preferences based
on default settings specified in the scheduler’s profile. Schedulers
can choose to override their defaults on a meeting-by-meeting
basis.
Searching for Meetings
Guest and profile users can search for a meeting in three ways:
By category
By meeting ID
By scheduled meeting time (e.g., Past, Today’s, and Future
meetings links)
By Site (for meetings scheduled using WebConnect)
A user must be logged on to MeetingPlace Web before taking full
advantage of the search capabilities. This ensures that meeting
access and security is not compromised. Guest users may only
browse through public meetings.
Accessing Data Attachments
MeetingPlace Web enables users to download attachments
through their Web browsers. For attachment downloads to work
properly, the Web server and Web browser must be properly
