  Using the CLI Commands
Using the CLI Commands
To use a CLI command, access the Cisco IPICS server via a secure shell (SSH) client and log in as the
ipicsadmin user. Then, run the command in the home directory.
In a Cisco IPICS high-availability (HA) deployment, you can run a CLI command on the primary or on
the secondary server. The Cisco IPICS updates that result from the command synchronize with the other
server automatically. If one of the HA servers is offline when you run a command, the synchronization
occurs when the offline server comes back on line. To ensure that synchronization occurs properly, do
not run a CLI command when Cisco IPICS is in a split brain scenario. For related information about HA,
see Cisco IPICS Server Administration Guide.
