Introduction
This document describes how to address the problem in Finesse Version 9.1(1) where certain CLI commands
do not execute properly.
Problem
In Finesse Version 9.1(1), these CLI commands fail to execute:
 utils finesse application_https_redirect*
      utils finesse notification*
      utils reset_3rdpartygadget_password
When you enter these commands, Finesse prompts you to enter a password. When you enter the Finesse
console password, the system hangs. This behavior locks your current console session until the system is
rebooted.
Solution
This issue is reported to be fixed in Finesse Versions 10.0 and 9.1(1) ES2.
If you are connected directly to the system, you can press alt + any of the function keys [F1−F6] in order to
open up to six separate console sessions. If you are connected via Secure Shell (SSH), simply disconnect and
reconnect in order to open a new session.
In order to prevent this problem when you reenter these commands, you can create an additional CLI account
that uses the username "administrator" (in all lowercase letters) with limited access to CLI commands. This
account will be able to run these commands without an additional password prompt that locks the session.
In order to create the additional CLI account, enter this command while logged in to the CLI with the
administrator account created when you originally installed the system.
set account name administrator
1.
At the prompt, choose 1 for the privilege level and press Enter.
2.
Enter the desired password for this new account and press Enter at the prompt.
3.
Log out and log back in with the newly−created "administrator" username and password. The CLI
commands should work as expected whenever you are logged in to the CLI with this account.
