Symmetrical RTP Support for MGCP-Based Calls
First Published: November 17, 2006
Last Updated: November 17, 2006
The Symmetrical RTP Support for MGCP-Based Calls feature allows calls to flow through Network
Address Translation (NAT) networks unaware of voice signaling. Determination of the IP address to send
Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) voice media is made from incoming Real-time Transport
Protocol (RTP) media instead of the information provided in the Session Description Protocol (SDP).
