A new parameter to match a specific UDP length was added. This engine parameter is added in

parameter is to check if UDP total length falls within a specific range.

For IPS standalone appliances with 1 G and 10 G fixed or add-on interfaces, the maximum jumbo frame
size is 9216 bytes.
Note
A jumbo frame is an Ethernet packet that is larger than the standard maximum of 1518 bytes (including
Layer 2 header and FCS).
The IDM and JRE 1.7
Symptom
Cannot launch the IDM.
Conditions
When the IDM is running under JRE 1.7 and the IPS version is 7.1.5 or earlier.
Workaround
Use JRE 1.6 or enable the SSL 2.0-compatible ClientHello format in the Java settings in the
Control Panel.
Note
For IPS 7.1(6) and later, the IDM functions with JRE 1.7.
Symptom
MySDN Decommissioned
Because MySDN has been decommissioned, the URL in older versions of the IDM and the IME is no
longer functional. If you are using IPS 6.0 or later, we recommend that you upgrade your version of the
IDM and the IME.
