Applying IPS 7.2(2)E4 to Sensors Using CSM
Pay attention to the following when updating sensors using CSM:
  •
You can manage IPS 7.2(2)E4 sensors using CSM 4.4 SP2 and CSM 4.5 in backward-compatibility
mode.
  •
We recommend that you upgrade to CSM 4.5 SP1 to manage sensors running IPS 7.2(2)E4.
  •
You must use CSM 4.5 to automatically or manually update to IPS 7.2(2)E4.
  •
Full support of IPS 7.2(2)E4 including SNMPv3 configuration management is available in CSM 4.6.
To apply 7.2(2)E4 to sensors using CSM, follow these steps:

Step 4
Click Next.
Step 5
Select the device(s) to which you want to apply the service pack, then click Finish.
Step 6
Create a deployment job and deploy to sensor(s) using Deployment Manager. You can launch
Deployment Manager from Tools > Deployment Manager
