What is NIC pairing and how do I configure NIC pairing on my Email Security Appliance (ESA)?
Answer:
NIC pairing configures the Ethernet interfaces so that there is a primary interface and a backup interface. If
the primary interface fails, the secondary interface becomes active and sends an alert.

WARNING: Enabling NIC pairing deletes all listeners assigned to the secondary interface.
The etherconfig command enables NIC pairing:

2. Data 2 (Autoselect: 100baseTX full−duplex)
3. Management (Autoselect: 100baseTX full−duplex)
