Designates use of password encryption.

Exec > Global Configuration > Context Configuration > Subscriber Configuration 

configure > context context_name > subscriber { default | name subscriber_name }

 

Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt: 

[context_name]host_name(config-subscriber)# 

 

encrypted password password 

 

 is the encrypted password and must be an alphanumeric string of 1 through 132 characters. 

This command is normally used only inside configuration files. 

 

The following command sets an encrypted password of 

: 

encrypted password qsdf12d4
