Designates the encryption algorithm to use for Hash-based Message Authentication Code (HMAC).

configure > context context_name > apn apn_name

 

Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt: 

[context_name]host_name(config-apn)# 

 

mobile-ip mn-ha-hash-algorithm { hmac-md5 | md5 | rfc2002-md5 } 

default mobile-ip mn-ha-hash-algorithm 

 

Designates the default encryption algorithm to use. 

 

Default: hmac-md5 
The encryption algorithms that may be used. 

Provides security by encrypting the data. 

 

The following command sets encryption for md5: 

mobile-ip mn-ha-hash-algorithm md5
