The SGSN now supports selection of Class Selectors 0through 7 in the configuration of QoS DSCP marking to be used 
when sending GTP-C messages. These eight new parameters are added to an existing list of options. Only the new 
parameters are noted below as selectable options:

Previous Behavior:  Default behavior is to establish Direct Tunnel (DT) if it is permitted in SGSN’s Call-Control 
profile configuration.  

New Behavior:  The operator can modify the S4-SGSN’s Call-Control profile configuration to override the default 
behavior and configure the SGSN to avoid establishment of a Direct Tunnel, on the S12 interface, during RAU-based 
handovers.
