16 Use the date command on the DNCS and DTACS servers to verify the time on
both servers.
DNCS Example:
Mon Nov 23 15:36:46 EST 2009
DTACS Example:
Mon Nov 23 15:31:15 EST 2009
Note: In this example above, the DTACS time is 5min 31sec behind the DNCS.
NTP will automatically synchronize the servers once the time difference is less
than two minutes.
DNCS Example:
Mon Nov 23 15:36:46 EST 2009
DTACS Example:
Mon Nov 23 15:31:15 EST 2009
Note: In this example above, the DTACS time is 5min 31sec behind the DNCS.
NTP will automatically synchronize the servers once the time difference is less
than two minutes.
17 If you need to synchronize the servers, type date hhmm.ss (where hhmm.ss is
the target time on the DNCS) and press Enter to reset the DTACS time. The
DTACS time is reset to match the DNCS.
Example: # date 1536.46
DTACS time is reset to match the DNCS.
Example: # date 1536.46
