Deeper, Strongly Bonded Cabinet
The cabinet depth is greater than Yamaha’s
previous compact speakers, improving bass
output capability. Bonding is done with the
same materials and techniques used for
Yamaha’s wooden musical instruments.
Strong, Resonant Cabinet with Three Feet
The overall strength of the cabinet as well as its
resonant properties owe a great deal to the
construction methods used for Yamaha violins
and guitars, known for their rich sound quality.
Three feet in a triangle pattern improve stability
and vibration damping.
Benefits from Yamaha Soavo Expertise
While the design is unique, the NS-BP200 two-way,
bass-reflex speaker incorporates a number of the
advanced construction techniques used for Yamaha’s
high-end Soavo series. The cabinet features precision
assembly of the baffle and body, with 6-point
reinforcement for high stiffness.
Fast Sound Attack, Highly Detailed Sound
The NS-BP200 does not have magnetic shielding,
which tends to reduce the speed of initial sound
attack, while the voice coil, network and other key
components were selected for high performance
with minimal size. All sounds, including bass, are
crisp, clear and highly detailed.

Back to the Basics
Rather than simply modifying a previous model, the
Yamaha speaker design team designed this speaker from
the ground up, creating a truly high-grade HiFi speaker.
They then took it to Europe for final sound tuning.
