The following topics provide an overview of items you can change using your device’s Settings 

menus. 

The Wi-Fi settings menu lets you control your device's Wi-Fi settings. 

Your device lets you take advantage of Wi-Fi for high-speed data access using available 

computer networks. For details on your device’s Wi-Fi features and settings, see 

►  Press 

and tap

(Settings) > Wi-Fi. The ON/OFF slider displays ON 

when Wi-Fi is active. 

Wi-Fi Direct allows device-to-device connections so you can transfer large amounts of data over 

a Wi-Fi connection. 

Activate a Connection 

1.  Press 

and tap

> Wi-Fi. 

2.  Tap 

to set up a peer-to-peer connection over Wi-Fi. 

Note:  

The target device must also have Wi-Fi Direct service active and running before it can 

be detected by your device. 

Assign a Unique Name 

1.  Press 

and tap 

> 

> Wi-Fi. 

2.  Tap

> Rename device. 

4.  Modify the current name and then tap OK.
