Running a G3 Server without a Monitor
You can use software such as the Apple Network
Administrator Toolkit and a video terminator (p/n 922-
3470) to run the G3 Server remotely from another
computer, thereby allowing you to disconnect the monitor
attached to the Server.
To run the Macintosh Server G3 without a monitor:
1 Follow the instructions in the “Setting Up Your Server”
manual to set up the server, including connecting a
monitor, mouse, and keyboard.
2 Follow the instructions in the “Macintosh Server
Administration” manual to configure the server. Be sure
the server is up and running and that network services
are operating properly.
3 Turn off the server and then disconnect the monitor.
