damp vibrations.
Product or Process Replaced
Mechanical screws had been previously used.  This process was slow and
inconsistent in drawing the plate to the bottom edge of the door.

Acrylic Foam Tape 4941 is applied
to the cleaned surface of the plate and pressurized.  The liner is removed and
the taped plate is applied and pressurized to the metal skin.
Aesthetically pleasing: The VHB tape system of attachment provide a clean,
smooth finish to the plate bondline.  Metal corrosion concerns are eliminated.
Long-lasting: Specially formulated adhesive and tape construction provides a
strong, lasting bond between the plate and the door skin.
Helps dampen vibration: The viscoelastic properties of the foam core help
damp vibration between the plate and the door skin during operation of the door.
