GUI refresh

You can use this option, if you have numerous clients in your Security 
Environment, to limit the refresh instances of the Frontend and thus to increase 
SMC performance. The Frontend will refresh only when errors or pending 
operations appear in computer status.

Synchronize client

node hostname or

IP address with

client values

If you have activated the option Synchronize client node hostname or IP address 
with client values you can choose whether you would like to specify a hostname 
or an IP address in order to  update the client node. If this option is activated SMC 
retrieves the hostname or IP address from the Agent whenever it connects to SMC. 

Synchronize client

node display

name

Active this option if you want to synchronize the display name of the client node. 
every time the Agent connects to SMC.

The events sent by Avira products to the Event Manager (such as a virus alert) can 
be transmitted directly to a specified email address. Therefore, in addition to the 
events being displayed in SMC Frontend, the administrator can be directly 
informed, for example, of critical events.
