Subject:
Countermeasure against light image after installation
Reason:
To notify the countermeasure against light image at an early stage after the installation.
Detail:
<Symptom>
Light image may occur at an early stage after the machine installation or the developing unit
replacement.
<Cause>
This symptom occurs by the low toner tribo rate when toner is replenished into the new developing
unit. Therefore, density is recovered by making dozens of copies.
Service Work:
Follow the steps below in order to recover density with the minimum copy count.
c As mentioned at “13. Checking the Copy Images” in Installation Procedure, carry out Mix
Toner mode once, and make a copy with the NA-3 (test chart) to check the image. If density
recovery is necessary at this time, perform the following.
d Carry out Mix Toner mode twice, and make a copy with the NA-3(test chart) to check the image.
[CAUTION]
If you continuously carry out Mix Toner mode more than 3times, the blade may be curled.
Do not continue the mode more than 3 times.
e Repeat d until density is recovered.
As a guide, density is recovered after performing d approx. 10
∼
20 times.
In addition, light image may occur if user does not operate the machine for a long time.
However, above-mentioned measure is also effective for this case, so repeat the operation, “Mix Toner
