<Major differences from LBP-800 Printer Driver in specifications of basic functions>
SmartBase PC1210D/PC1230D/PC1270D Printer Driver takes over most of the specifications of
LBP-800 Printer Driver.
Major differences from LBP-800 Printer Driver in specifications of basic functions are listed below.
1) Two paper pickup features (cassettes and the multi-purpose tray (MPT)) are supported.

Use of these features can be set up on Driver display.
2) Paper change request is not supported.

SmartBase PC1210D/PC1230D/PC1270D machines start printing if paper is set in the paper
source specified by the user, regardless of size of the paper. The machines carry out no check
on paper size at printing. Accordingly, Printer Driver UI has no switch to start or cancel print
when paper size inconsistency is detected.

3) Special fixing modes for thick paper, thin paper, and OHP transparencies are supported.

In the first place, CAPT has scarce setup items and the items are so simple, that the user finds it
easy to set up the driver. Besides, default settings of CAPT assure top performance and print
quality. Therefore, there is nearly no need for the user to store various settings using the favorite
function.
