initial settings

The VCR needs to find, identify and memorise all available stations in your area in order to
record programmes correctly. Once done, pressing the ^ or & buttons enables you to jump
to the available channels without going via any vacant channels. This channel search can be
done either automatically or manually. You should only need to perform either of the
following procedures if Plug&Play Setup has failed to identify and record available channels
or you have moved to a new area.

Auto Channel Setup

  Press MENU.

  Select the icon

and T buttons and press OK twice.

During Auto Channel Set the indica-
tor on the TV screen moves from left
to right. When Auto Channel Set is
completed, the Confirmation screen
appears.

  Once Auto

Channel Set has completed its search,
the confirmation screen will appear

showing the details (Preset Number, Channel Number, Fine Tuning
Condition and Station) of the TV stations that the process has
found. To view the next channel, press the ^ and & buttons to
move the highlight bar to the required channel.

  Press MENU.

  The VCR memorises all stations found regardless of their quality. If a station’s

quality is poor, you can delete that station from the memory (see page 19).
