Changing the cartridge

Empty cartridge

If your ink cartridge is empty, the red display lamp v will flash
and the display will show

CARTRIDGE EMPTY

1 Open the operation panel by lifting it at the sides by the

grip recesses.

2 Press the rod in the centre of the holder forwards.

3 Remove the cartridge by pulling forwards at an angle and

lifting it up and out. It cannot be reused. Dispose of the ink
cartridge with normal waste.

Insert the new cartridge.

5 Close the operation panel.

6 The display will show

CARTR. NEW: YES

Confirm with OK.

If your fax machine does not ask you automatically, after
the new cartridge has been inserted, you can reset the copy
counter in function 49 (see chapter Hints&Tips).
