ongratulations on your purchase of the Nova III. The Nova III offers a
wide array of innovative features, yet it is wonderfully user-friendly.
Commanding it is no more difficult than pressing a button on the keychain
remote control. Take a few minutes to review the Nova III’s features. You
will undoubtedly find that in addition to providing you and your vehicle
exceptional security, it will also add to your lifestyle convenience.
The Remote Control
Your dual-button/triple-channel keychain remote control is a sophisticated
radio transmitter that sends a unique digital code across a typical range of
up to 100 feet. Nova III can accept up to 4 different Clifford remote controls.
Certain factors — such as obstructions, weather conditions or a weak remote
control battery — may effect the range.
How to Disarm the System with the Remote Control
1. Press remote control button I. Several actions will confirm remote disarming:
The siren will chirp once (unless the chirps are muted, see below)
The parking lights will flash once
The doors will unlock
The LED indicator inside your car will turn off
2. Release the button as soon as you observe any of the above.
3. You may now enter the vehicle.
How to Arm the System with the Remote Control
1. Press remote control button I. Several actions will confirm remote arming:
The siren will chirp twice (unless the chirps are muted, see below)
The parking lights will flash twice
The doors will lock
The LED indicator inside your car will flash continuously
The windows and/or sunroof will close (if equipped with the optional
SmartWindows II accessory)
2. Release the button as soon as you observe any of the above.
How to Silently Arm or Disarm the System with the Remote Control
Whenever you wish, you may remotely arm or disarm your Nova III without
the normal chirp indications. This is particularly useful when parking late
at night in a residential area. To do so is simple: Just simultaneously press
both buttons I and II
on the remote control. The parking lights will provide
confirmation of disarming or arming with one or two flashes, respectively.
