Printhead Position Adjustment
Now that the printhead is parallel to the media and is balanced, adjusting the printhead 
position adjusts the head for optimum print quality. This is fine tuning the print engine.
 for the location of the printhead position adjustment screws used in the 
following procedure.
1.
Check that the printhead is in the default position, with the printhead elements ahead of 
the crest of the platen roller.

2.
Perform the PAUSE Key Self Test by pressing PAUSE while turning On (l) the print 
engine.
3.
Loosen the four screws at the top rear of the print mechanism.
Note • 
Insure the printhead parallelism has been adjusted before continuing.

Note • 
These four screws clamp the print mechanism in position once the position 
adjustment is completed. For proper adjustment, these screws need to be loosened then 
gently tightened again until only slight movement of the print mechanism is permitted.
