Setting the date and time using the handset

Press {MENU}.

Press {4}.

Enter the current month, day, and 
year by selecting 2 digits for each.
Example: June 15, 2005
Press {0}{6}{1}{5}{0}{5}.

Enter the current hour and minute (12- 
hour clock format) by selecting 2 digits 
for each.
Example: 9:30 PM
Press {0}{9}{3}{0}.

Select “AM” or “PM” by pressing 
{
AM/PM}.

Press {Save}, then press {OFF}.
Recording your greeting message
You can record your own greeting message (max. 2 minutes) that will be played when the 
answering system answers a call. If you do not record a greeting message, a pre-recorded 
greeting message will be used.

Press {GREETING REC}.

The unit announces “To record greeting, press 
RECORD again.

Within 10 seconds, press {GREETING REC} again.

After the unit beeps, speak clearly about 20 cm (8 inches) 
away from the MIC.

To stop recording, press {GREETING REC} or {STOP}.
To play back the greeting message
Press {GREETING CHECK}.

While handset and base unit Talking Keypads are turned on, the handset and the base 
unit announce each dialing button you press.

You can turn this feature off for the handset and base unit separately (page 6). 
Handset name announcement
This feature announces the name or phone number shown on the display while you are in the 
phonebook, caller list, redial list and one-touch dialer. You can turn this feature off (page 6).
