the 2.5-Gbps multiservice aggregation card provides a scalable and reliable optical infrastructure for transporting Gigabit Ethernet services over
DWDM. Instead of mapping each Gigabit Ethernet to a wavelength, the 2.5-Gbps multiservice aggregation card multiplexes two Gigabit
Ethernet streams into a wavelength, as shown in Figure 6, doubling the overall service density.
