How to work with menus

VCD 2.0

To select a menu item

To move to the
next/previous item

To make a selection
during PBC playback

• Press [– MENU] or [MENU +] and then press

[

SELECT, PLAY] on the main unit or [

SELECT] on the remote control.

• Press the numbered buttons on the

remote control to select the menu item.

To select track 10 or over, press [

10]

then the two numbers.

Press [

SELECT, PLAY] on the main

unit or [

SELECT] on the remote

control.
Press [

NEXT] or [

PREV] during

play.

While paused
Press and hold [

NEXT] on the main

unit or press [

] on the remote control.

Press [

While in stop mode
Press [

PBC/CLEAR, STOP] on the main

unit or [

PBC/CLEAR] on the remote

control. “PBC OFF” appears on the display.

To skip forward/
backward

Press [

PREV] (backward) or [

NEXT] (forward) during play.

To stop
Press [

PBC/CLEAR, STOP] on the main unit or [

PBC/CLEAR]

on the remote control.
To pause
Press [

PAUSE] on the main unit or [

] on the remote control

during play.
Press [

SELECT, PLAY] on the main unit or [

SELECT] on the

remote control to resume play.

To turn off the CD
Set [SELECTOR] to TAPE/

• “no disc” is displayed if there is no disc in the unit.
• If interference occurs to radios or televisions, place the unit as far as

possible from the equipment.

• Do not press [

CD OPEN/CLOSE] during play, pause or

immediately after you have inserted the CD or closed the CD lid.
The CD may get scratched.

Note

Menus will vary depending on the software. Press the buttons in
response to what appears on the TV and in accordance with the CD’s
instructions.

Press and hold [

The search speed increases up to 4 steps.
On the main unit: Each time you press and hold, it will increase by

one step.

On the remote control: Each time you press, it will increase by one

step. The steps will continue to increase as
you press and hold the button.

• The slow motion advance speed decreases up to 3 steps.
• When a video CD is being played using the on-screen menus audio

may not be output while searching.

• When a video CD is played as a slide show (continuous changing of

still screens) using the on-screen menus, fast-forwarding or
rewinding of the CD may not be possible.

• During RANDOM mode (

page 8), you cannot skip to tracks

already played.

• During PROGRAM play or RANDOM mode (

page 8) you can

search only within the track.

Note

Remote control only
This function allows you to resume CD playback (

page 6) from the

point it was stopped at.

Press [RESUME] in the stop mode.

Resume will not work if the CD lid is opened and during PROGRAM
or RANDOM modes.

Remote control only
OSD displays the CD operation, mode, and display information on
the television screen.

Press [OSD].

Every time you press the button:
OSD ON

OSD OFF

OSD indicators differ depending on the video CD software.

You can display the remaining play time for the current track.

Press [DISPLAY] during play or pause.

Use the zoom function to expand a portion of the picture on your
screen.

While paused

Press [ZOOM].

The screen will expand a portion of the picture.

Press [SHIFT] + [

], [

] or [

] to view different

portions of the picture.

To exit zoom function

Press [ZOOM].
