Supported Files

The

Direct Printing System supports the following types of files.

JPEG

TIFF

NOTE

You may not be able to print some types of TIFF files. We recommend you to use the TIFF file

scanned by the device, in order to print properly.

You may not be able to print from applications that work with TIFF files if you have saved the file

after editing the page settings or changing the compression format.

Note that some TIFF file applications modify the file format as soon as you make any changes to

the image, even if you have not explicitly saved the file.

For example, in "Windows Picture and FAX Viewer", a standard graphics file preview application

included with Windows XP, operations such as rotating the image cause the file format to be

changed and this may prevent the file from being printed.
