The recommended replacement for the Cisco Catalyst 4006 is the Cisco Catalyst 4506, 4507R, or 4510R chassis. The Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series 

chassis are optimized for Power over Ethernet (PoE). Every Cisco Catalyst 4500, when properly equipped, can provide 15.4W of power per port 

simultaneously in a fully loaded system while maintaining power supply redundancy. This allows customers to smoothly connect any IEEE 802.3af 

compliant device on any Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series 802.3af PoE line card port without concern for power.

Customers can use the Cisco Technology Migration Plan (TMP) to trade in products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment. 

Cisco currently is offering a generous trade-in bonus for Cisco Catalyst 4003, 4006, Catalyst 4000 supervisor engines I and II, or Catalyst 4500 

Supervisor Engine III trades to any Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series chassis or Catalyst 4500 Series supervisor engine.  For more information about Cisco
