When the ignition is switched on, the ACE

automatically activates the “Drive Mode” and

records the journey on the µSD.

When the ignition is switched off, the ACE

automatically switches to “Park Mode” where

the vehicle is monitored using radar and vibration

sensors.

If a person approaches the vehicle or if the

vehicle detects parking contact, the camera is

activated and records the event on a brief video.

If your vehicle is parked for an extended period,

the radar system deactivates after a stipulated

amount of energy has been consumed and your

vehicle is then only monitored by the vibration

sensor.

The ACE can, in principle, also be operated

using the basic settings without connecting to

a smartphone. Acoustic instructions keep you

informed of the operating status of your ACE.

The recordings can viewed using a video player

on a PC (e.g. Windows Media Player, VLC etc.)

after connecting the µSD card to your PC or

MAC.

In order to use the ACE with your smartphone

(iOS or Android), you first need to download

the free App from the relevant App Store.

In order then to couple your smartphone to

the ACE, please activate the WLAN function

on your phone and connect to the hotspot

(SSID) “BMWACE”. The standard password is:

1234567890.

Please change the standard password

immediately using the BMW ACE App

>Settings>Wi-Fi>. After changing your password,

you need to log on to the WLAN hotspot (SSID)

“BMWACE” using your new password.
