10 Synchronization 

You can synchronize information between your phone and your PC or between your phone 
and Microsoft

®

 Exchange Server. Before synchronizing information, please install ActiveSync 

on the PC. Once you install ActiveSync on your PC, you will be prompted to connect your 
phone and create a synchronization relationship with the device by using a USB cable or 
Bluetooth connection. While you are setting up this relationship you can choose the 
information you want to synchronize with either your PC or with Microsoft

®

 Exchange Server.

10.1 Installing ActiveSync 

1.  To install ActiveSync on your PC, please follow the instruction on the screen when 

you run the ActiveSync and application software CD. When the ActiveSync is installed 
in your PC, you will be asked to build a partnership with your phone using one of 
the two connection methods: USB cable and Bluetooth. 

2.  Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the wizard. In the Sync Setup 

Wizard, you can : 

• 

Create a synchronization relationship between your PC and your device. 

• 

Configure an Exchange Server connection to synchronize directly with Exchange 
Server. To synchronize your device with Exchange Server, enter your user name, 
password, and domain name from your administrator before completing the 
wizard. 

• 

Choose information types to synchronize. 

Note: Once synchronization completes, you can disconnect your phone from your PC.
