Configuring Non-DHCP Computers
The Broadband DSL/Cable Wireless Router can be used
with computers that do not support DHCP. Follow these steps
to identify and configure non-capable DHCP computers.
1. Determine if any computers on your network are not
DHCP capable. An example of a non-DHCP capable
computer would be a DOS/Windows 3.x computer running
an older version of TCP/IP software from a third-party
vendor.
2. On each non-DHCP computer, enter the following
information when configuring TCP/IP:
a.  IP Address (See the  Selecting an IP Address
section).
b.  Subnet Mask (typically 255.255.255.0 for a Class C
IP address).
c.  Gateway IP Address (192.168.1.1 is the default).
d.  Primary DNS Server IP Address (provided by your
ISP).
e.  Secondary DNS Server IP Address (optionally
provided by your ISP).
f.  Domain Name (optionally provided by your ISP).
