If you forget other codes: If you forget your 
security code, SIM PIN code, PIN2 code, or 
call barring password, contact your service 
provider.
lock & unlock phone
You can lock your phone to keep others from 
using it. To lock or unlock your phone, you 
need the four-digit unlock code.
To automatically lock your phone after a 
specified period of inactivity: Tap 
T
Phone Settings in the application launcher 
screen, tap Security, then select a Phone Lock 
timer setting. Your phone prompts you to 
enter the unlock code. Enter your unlock code 
to activate phone lock.
To unlock your phone: When you see the 
Enter Unlock Code prompt, enter your unlock code 
to unlock the phone.
Tip: Your phone’s unlock code is originally set 
to 1234. Many service providers reset the 
unlock code to the last 4 digits of your phone 
number.
Note: You can make emergency calls on a 
locked phone (for more information, see 
page 46). A locked phone still rings or vibrates 
for incoming calls or messages, but you 
need to unlock it to answer

address book contacts, calendar events, 
tasks, note pad entries, voice records, 
pictures, photos, and sound files by sending 
or receiving the data through a Bluetooth
