Overview
The OMNIKEY® 5121 is a PC-linked reader that reads 13.56 MHz (RFID) contactless
smart cards. This reader is also equipped with a contact interface, which reads/writes to
virtually any contact smart card.

The OMNIKEY 5121 is a USB plug-and-play device. To connect the reader with your
computer, plug the USB connector into your computers USB port.

When the reader is working, the LED on the right illuminates green. Consult the OMNIKEY
User Guide for driver setup, if the reader is not working.

For contactless operation, hold the card next to the logo on the reader. For contact smart
cards, insert the card with contacts facing up into the reader.

When the reader is exchanging data with a card (reading or writing) the LED on the right
