(1) General

The ANT-81A directional antenna calculates the bearing of intruder aircraft. The 
MILACAS-FR Processor transmits interrogations and receives replies on one of four 
antenna beams. When it selects a beam, the MILACAS-FR Processor electronically 
points the antenna in a surveillance direction during TCAS transmit and receive 
operations.
