Option Keys
Almost all the transceiver keys are programmable
unless they are dedicated to a specific function. These
keys can be programmed by your system operator for
one set of functions in the Conventional mode and
another in the SMARTNET/SmartZone mode as
described on page 10. Table 5 on page 12 lists the
programmable keys, the functions that can be
programmed in each mode, and the page of this
manual on which the function is described.

Menu Mode
Most functions that can be controlled by an
option key can also be controlled by the menu mode.
An exception is Keypad Lock which can be controlled
by an option key only. The functions that can be

5 on page 12. Only parameters that apply to the
selected channel type (Conventional/SMARTNET/
