- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping 
or splashing and no objects filled with liquids,

- For PLUGGABLE EQUIPMENT, the socket outlet 
shall be installed near the equipment and shall

- Use the supplied adapters to connect the baby 
unit, and the parent unit cradle to the mains.
 
- To prevent electric shock, do not open the 
housing of the baby unit or parent unit except 
for the battery compartments.
 
- Make sure that your hands are dry when 
you insert or replace batteries (battery pack) 
or when you handle power cords or power 
supplies to be plugged to the mains.
 
- For the parent unit, use only the rechargeable 
battery pack supplied with the baby monitor. 
Charge the rechargeable battery pack as 
described in the user manual.
 
- Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly 
replaced. Replace only with the same type.
 
- The parent unit has a charging function with a 
rechargeable battery pack only.
 
- Make sure to use the following batteries:
 
- For the Parent Unit (SCD720/SCD730):  
Philips PHRHC152M000 battery pack;
 
- For the Baby Unit: 1.5V R6 AA alkaline 
nonrechargeable batteries or charged 1.2V AA HR6 
rechargeable batteries. Recharge the rechargeable 
batteries in a separate battery charger.
 
To prevent battery explosion or leakage, 
which can damage the baby monitor and 
cause burns and skin or eye irritation:
 
CAUTION: Risk of explosion if battery is 
replaced by incorrect type
 
- do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries
 
- insert batteries in the right direction (+/-)
 
- keep the battery away from excessive heat such 
as sunshine, fire or other sources of heat
 
- do not leave empty batteries in the baby unit.
 
To prevent the battery from heating up or 
releasing toxic materials, hydrogen, or oxygen, 
do not:
 
- overcharge
 
- short circuit
 
- reverse charge, or
 
- damage batteries
 
- To handle damaged or leaking batteries, wear 
protective gloves to protect your skin.
Adult supervision
 
- This baby monitor is intended as an aid. It is not 
a substitute for responsible and proper adult 
supervision and should not be used as such.
 
- Never place the baby unit inside the baby bed 
or playpen.
 
- For their safety, do not allow children to touch 
and play with the baby monitor, adapters and 
all the accessories.

Cleaning and maintenance
Do not use cleaning sprays or liquid cleaners.
Before cleaning, unplug the parent unit and baby 
unit if they are connected to a power outlet.
Storage precautions
 
- Use and store the baby monitor between 5° C 
(40° F) and 40° C (104° F).
 
- Do not expose the baby unit and parent unit to 
extreme cold or heat or to direct sunlight.
 
- Do not put the baby unit and the parent unit 
close to a heating source.
 
- Remove batteries if you are not going to use the 
product for more than 30 days

exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled 
environment. To maintain the compliance with the 
FCC RF exposure guideline, the baby unit should 
be installed and operated with a minimum 
distance of 8 in (20 cm) between the baby unit 
and any person‘s body. For body worn operation, 
this parent unit has been tested and meets the 
FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with 
the accessories supplied or designated for this 
product. Use of other accessories may not ensure 
compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines. 
The transmitter and antenna of the parent unit shall 
be held at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) from your face.
This baby monitor also complies with Industry 
Canada RSS-102 with respect to Canadas‘s Health
