AutoMap's BLE1.3 is a OBD-II Bluetooth BLE 4.0  

    

 

transmitter   placed into the OBD port in a vehicle.  

 Upon receiving power the BLE 4.0 begins to send out a  

broadcast signal which contains data packets with 32 bits 

 of information pulled from the vehicle's onboard  

computer.  The signal repeats on a 0.75 second interval,  

and can only be read by a receiving unit (smart phone cap

able of Bluetooth 4.0) at an approximate range of 30 yards. 

The use of the device is to allow automotive dealers and  

the financial institutions funding their inventory access to t

he current location of the in questioned assets.
