FEP-0812

LevelOne’s new FEP-0812 switch equipped with 8 

10/100 Mbps ports with auto-MDI/MDIX crossover 

detection function. While combining power with 

Ethernet Technology, 4 of these 8 ports automatically 

detect the presence of IEEE 802.3af-compliant devices 

and provide the capability of transferring power 

and data over a single cable. The FEP-0812 is an 

ideal solution for extensive WLAN, IP Phone, and IP 

surveillance system deployments especially when the 

legacy and POE compliance devices co-exist in your 

network environment. 

FEP-0812 offers fast and reliable network. The store-

and-forward architecture filters errors and forwards 

packets in a non-blocking environment. Flow control 

ensures the correctness of data transmitting.  The 

IEEE802.3x and backpressure flow control mechanisms 

work respectively for full and half duplex modes. This 

device supports Nway auto-negotiation protocol that 

detects the networking speed and the duplex modes 

(Full/Half) automatically. Auto-MDI/MDI-X function 

alleviates the effort to use crossover cables. 

For instant error detection, the switch is equipped 

with a full range of LEDs to help you monitor and 

troubleshoot problems on your network. The 10.5" 

design fits easily in any location. Users can place 

the switch on the desktop. With the accessory kits, 

the switch can either be stacked or mounted to the 

19” rack or cabinet. The FEP-0812 provides an ideal 

solution for small businesses that demand a reliable 

network to interface file servers with bandwidth-

starving workgroups, departments, and offices.
