industry regulations for retention, retrieval and recovery, and
relaying of data.

When equipped with LTO-5 tape drives, the Imation L1200 LTO 2U
Tape Library delivers the highest LTO storage capacity (up to 1.5 TB
native on each Imation LTO-5 tape cartridge, or up to 3.0 TB with 2:1
software compression) and data transfer rates (up to 140 MB/sec)
to date; this gives a total capacity of up to 36 TB native (72 TB with
2:1 compression). This combination of performance and capacity
enables SMBs to handle ever-increasing demands for data storage
while ensuring shorter, more efficient backup windows.

The Imation L1200 LTO 2U Tape Library contains two removable
cartridge magazines (one on either side of the unit), each offering
12 data cartridge slots for a total of 24 slots. In addition, the left
magazine includes a single mail slot to help support continuous
library operation while importing and exporting media. A bar-
code reader is also standard, supporting the library’s operation in
sequential or random access mode.
