As  the  new  flagship  of  the  SuperDLT line TAND-
BERG  DATA  introduces  the  SDLT600. With  it´s
transfer rate of up to 260* GByte per hour and a
capacity  of  600*  GByte  per  cartridge  this  drives
sets new records for the whole tape drive market.
There are upgrade paths to the SDLT600 availa-
ble from almost all the DLT product ranges.
It  is  of  course  able  to  read  the  SDLT  tape

cartridges recorded with a SDLT220 or SDLT320
drive  and  is  moreover  the  first  Superdrive  being
able to read the DLTtape VS1 written by the DLT
VS160 drive. An upgrade from the VS product to
the  SDLT600  is  therefore  possible  without  great
expenditure.
The SDLT600 with its transfer rate of 72 MByte of
compressed  data  per  second  is  a  real  perform-

ance  marvel,  it  allows  you  to  backup  up  to 
260 GByte of compressed data in just one hour.
To store the now available huge capacities there
is also a new cartridges introduced: The Tandberg
SDLTtape

The free software tool DLTSage is available for all
SuperDLT  drives. With  this  application  you  will
have the total control of your media and drives as
well  as  of  our  backup  quality  and  reliability. Use
DLTSage  for  error  prevention,  diagnostics  and
inventory.
