CiscoWorks Wireless LAN Solution Engine 2.13
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
CiscoWorks WLSE is a network management solution for managing the entire Cisco Aironet autonomous WLAN infrastructure.
CiscoWorks WLSE provides comprehensive air/radio frequency (RF) and device-management capabilities in ways that simplify
deployment, reduce operational complexity, and provide administrators visibility into the WLAN. By automating several RF and device-
management tasks, CiscoWorks WLSE reduces the costs and time needed for WLAN deployment, management, and security.
Table 1 describes CiscoWorks WLSE new features.

CiscoWorks WLSE New Features
Feature
Description
Enhanced IDS with Management Frame Protection
Management Frame Protection (MFP), which authenticates management frames between Access
Points, eliminates several WLAN attacks that arise due to spoofing of authorized devices. CiscoWorks
WLSE enables MFP in the network and provides visibility into network events associated with MSP
detection/protection.

Voice Support
Enables the deployment of voice with call admission control. This configures access points to
prioritize/optimize WLAN bandwidth for voice traffic. It also monitors the health of the voice network,
including calls with degraded QoS and jitter/loss.
