DHG UV – Circular Polarizing Filters
Light incidence on a glass surface causes a loss of app. 5% of the light by reflections, contrast brilliance and
sharpness are reduced. In order to avoid dull images, the filter surfaces are treated with a metal oxide layer,
also known as “coating”. High quality filters boast of a number of coating layers = Multi Coating. As an effect,
reflections are almost eliminated. High end quality filters boast of an additional Nano coating to make them
liquid and dirt repellent. They are easier to clean more robust then other filters.
