Product  Description

AddOn  Computer’s  QSFP-‐40GBASE-‐SR4-‐AO  is  a  multi-‐mode  transceiver;  small  form  factor  pluggable  module  for
bi-‐directional  serial  optical  data  communications.  Support  up  to  300m  reach  with  OM3  fiber  or  450m  using  OM4
fiber,  and  a  maximum  data  rate  of  4  channel  10Gbase  Ethernet.  A  2-‐wire  serial  interface  is  available  to  send  and
receive  more  complex  control  signals  and  to  obtain  digital  diagnostic  information.  Individual  channels  can  be
addressed  and  unused  channels  can  be  shut  down  for  maximum  design  flexibility.

AddOn  Computer’s  QSFP+  transceivers  are  designed  with  form  factor,  optical/electrical  connection  and  digital
diagnostic  interface  according  to  the  QSFP  Multi-‐Source  Agreement  (MSA).
Applications
•  40Gbase-‐X  40G  Ethernet
•  Datacom/Telecom  switch  &
router  connections
•  Data  Aggregation  and  Backplane
