Guide Plus+ on-screen TV guide
GUIDE Plus+ is an Electronic Program Guide – a free
on-screen TV Guide that shows what’s on TV for the
next couple of days and lets you program the timer of
the DVD Recorder with the push of a button.
Pause Live TV
A very large built-in memory records the program you
are currently watching when you press the pause
button. When it suits you, you can resume the program
from the moment you pressed 'pause' as if you're
watching a live program.
Instant Replay
With Instant Replay you are in control of exciting TV
moments so you can enjoy a precious TV moment like
a scene in a movie or football match again ?
immediately, at the press of a button. The Hard Disk
can play back any scene while continuing to record TV
program.
Dual Media with DL
Philips DVD Recorders support ‘dual media’ recording -
the ability to create recordings on DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/
RW and DVD+R DL discs. Now you can buy any disc
and the Philips recorder will always create fully
compatible recordings, which can be played by any DVD
player.
HDMI (720p/ 1080i)
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a direct
digital connection that carries digital high definition
resolution video as well as digital multichannel audio.
With video upscaling you can increase the resolution of
SD (Standard Definition) video signals that DVD uses to
High Definition resolutions up to 720p or 1080i, so you
will be able to see more details thanks to a sharper,
more true-to-life picture. The resulting HD resolution
video output signal can be fed to an HD ready display
through HDMI. HDMI is fully backward-compatible
with DVI.
