The LED downlight is intended for illuminating indoor areas; it may be installed and used only 
in dry, enclosed indoor rooms. The LED downlight is intended for installation in a false indoor 
ceiling (e.g. in a ceiling panel) or the like. 
Power has to be supplied via the appropriate LED driver at a constant current (see chapter 
“Technical Data”).
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
Any use other than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may give 
rise to hazards such as short-circuiting, fi re, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be 
modifi ed or converted!

 When installing and operating the light, it must not be embedded in the insulat-
ing material, since this may lead to overheating of the light.  Otherwise, there is 
a danger of fi re!

 

 Keep a minimum distance between the light-emitting openings and illuminated 
surfaces (e.g. easily fl ammable objects, such as curtains, etc.). The appropri-
ate minimum distance is specifi ed on the bulb (in the illustration to the left, the 
minimum distance is 0.5 m).

 

 The product is intended to be installed and used only in dry indoor rooms; it must not 
get damp or wet.

   Please read through all of the instructions carefully before using the product, 

 

•  Unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not allowed for 

safety and approval reasons (CE).

 

•  The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children! Install the 

product out of the reach of children.

 

• The product is designed according to protection class III. 





  •  The LED downlight may be operated only by a constant current source; use a 

suitable ballast (LED driver). For more information on required current, see the 
chapter “Technical Data”.

 

   Operation with commercially available halogen transformers, power supply units 

or the like is not possible, this destroys the LED downlight, loss of guarantee!

 

•  This product is only to be installed and used in dry conditions indoors. The product 

must not get damp or wet. 

 

• Only use the product when it is fi rmly mounted (do not use it in vehicles). 

 

•   Do not use this product in rooms or under adverse environmental conditions where 

combustible gases, vapours or dust are or where they may be present! There is a 
risk of explosion!

 

• Attention, LED light: 

 

  Do not look directly into the LED light!

 

  Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!

 

•  If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect 

the product immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.

 

  A safe operation can no longer be assumed, if:

 

  -  the product shows visible signs of damage,

 

  -   the product does not work at all or works poorly (where there is fl ickering light, 

leaking smoke or a smell of burning, audible crackling noises, or discolouration 
to the product or to adjacent surfaces.)

 

  -  it was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long time or

 

  -  if it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport

 

•  Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a 

dangerous plaything for children.

 

•  In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s 

Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities are 
to be observed!

Please note:
•   Install the LED downlight only on a stable base, e.g. in a suspended interior ceiling (e.g. ceil-

ing panel). 

•   The product is only intended to be placed and used in dry and enclosed indoor rooms, it must 

not get damp or wet.

•  Do not install the LED downlight in or on surfaces that are highly fl ammable or catch fi re 

easily.

•  Keep suffi cient distance between the light-emitting opening of the LED downlight and the 

exposed surfaces, otherwise this may result in discolouration of the exposed surface.

•   When installing and operating the LED downlight, it must not be embedded in insulating ma-

terial, since this may lead to overheating. Otherwise, there is a danger of fi re! We recommend 
a minimum distance of 10 cm.

•   The LED downlight must be installed out of the reach of children.
•   Installation and connection of the LED downlight may be done only in the absence of any 

voltage. 



   The LED downlight may be operated only by a constant current source; use a suit-

able ballast (LED driver). 

 

 Make sure that the ballast (LED driver) is suitable for the power consumption of the 
LED downlight.

 

Refer to chapter “Technical Data” for relevant details.

 

 The LED downlight may not be attached to a commercially availble halogen 
transformer; this will destroy the LED downlight, loss of guarantee!



 

Pay attention to the information in chapter “Preparations for Installation”!

 
•   Think about the arrangement of the LED downlight e.g. in the room ceiling. Plan the installa-

tion location carefully if you want to install more than one LED downlight (for instance, when 
lighting an entrance area or somewhere similar).

•   Mark the drill hole (for the necessary diameter see “Technical data”) and drill the hole with a 

suitable drill (e.g. drill with centre drill).
