Maximaler Eingangsbereich
Angaben zum maximalen Eingangsbereich der Anschlüsse des CEBO-LCs finden Sie im 
Benutzerhandbuch. Verwenden Sie das CEBO-LC ausschließlich innerhalb der dort angegebenen 
Grenzwerte.

Netzspannung
Das CEBO-LC ist nicht zum Messen von Netzspannungen geeignet. Bitte befolgen Sie unbedingt die 
im Benutzerhandbuch zu findenden Grenzwerte für den maximalen Eingangsbereich um Schäden 
am CEBO-LC, am Computer oder am Anwender oder Dritten zu vermeiden.

Erdung
Der Schirm des CEBO-LC ist über die USB-Verbindung direkt mit dem Schirm des Computers 
verbunden. Die Masseleitung des CEBO-LC ist getrennt von der Masse des Computers durch eine 
galvanische Isolierung. Die galvanische Isolierung ist nicht als Schutz gegen die Berührung 
gefährlicher Spannungen geeignet. 

Um Störungen zu vermeiden, stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass keine anderen Spannungen als Schirm / 
Masse mit den entsprechenden Eingängen des CEBO-LC in Berührung kommen.

Fehlerhafte Messaufbauten oder der Anschluss von Spannungen außerhalb des maximalen 
Eingangsbereichs können lebensgefährlich sein.

Reparaturen
Innerhalb des Gerätes befinden sich keine wartbaren Bestandteile. Reparatur und Kalibrierung 
bedürfen spezieller Testwerkzeuge und dürfen ausschließlich von Mitarbeitern der CESYS GmbH 
oder autorisierten Zwischenhändlern durchgeführt werden.

Windows XP (32bit) und Vista, 7, 8 (32bit & 64bit)
 1. Laden Sie folgende Pakete aus dem Windows- Bereich unserer Downloadseite: 

 a) "CeboMsr driver installer"
 b) "CeboLab"

 2. Starten Sie die Installation des Treibers durch Doppelklicken der Datei "CeboDriver1.0.1-

setup.exe" und folgen Sie den Installationsanweisungen.

 3. Starten Sie die CeboLab- Installation durch Doppelklicken der Datei "CeboLab1.3-

setup.exe" und folgen Sie den Installationsanweisungen. Während der Installation wird auch 
ein Verzeichnis im Startmenu angelegt.

 4. Schließen Sie das CEBO-LC an den PC an.
 5. Starten Sie CeboLab. Nach Klicken des Connect- Buttons erscheint ein Fenster zur 

Geräteauswahl. Wählen Sie dort Ihr CEBO-LC aus.

 6. Ein Klick auf den Activate Device- Button startet die Datenerfassung.
 7. Eine ausführliche Bedienungsanleitung zur CeboLab- Software finden Sie unter 

Linux (32bit & 64bit)
 1. Öffnen Sie ein Terminal.
 2. Mit wget http://www.cesys.com/downloads/Cebo/cebomsr-linux.udev.sh können 

Sie ein kleines Skript von unserer Downloadseite herunterladen, welches benötigt wird, um auch 
non-root Benutzern den Zugriff auf CEBO Geräte zu ermöglichen.

 3. Starten Sie das Skript als root: sudo sh ./cebomsr-install-udev.sh
 4. Mit wget http://www.cesys.com/downloads/Cebo/cebolab-1.3.tar.bz2 können Sie 

die CeboLab- Software von unserer Website herunterladen.

 5. Entpacken Sie das Paket: tar xfvj cebolab-1.3.tar.bz2
 6. Gehen Sie in den CeboLab Installationsordner: cd cebolab-1.3
 7. Starten Sie die CeboLab Installation als root: sudo sh install.sh

This guide explains how you can install all the drivers and applications required for the operation.

A detailed user manual is available for download on our website. It contains all the information you 
need to connect the CEBO-LC and successfully put into operation. To download the user manual, 
please go to the product page of our website www.cesys.com and select the CEBO-LC. Clicking on 
Downloads takes you to the product-specific download page that contains among others a link for 
the latest version of the user manual.

Please carefully read the following general safety information and the product-specific safety 
instructions in the user manual before using the CEBO-LC for the first time. Improper use can 
damage the CEBO-LC, the computer or lead to injuries of the user or third parties. The user manual

Maximum input range
Details on maximum input range of the terminals of CEBO-LC can be found in the user manual. Use 
the CEBO-LC exclusively within the limits stated there.

Mains voltage
The CEBO-LC is not designed for use with mains voltages. Please be sure to respect the limits on 
maximum input range stated in the user manual to avoid damage to the CEBO-LC, the computer or 
the user or third parties.

Grounding
Shield of the CEBO-LC is connected directly to shield of the attached computer via the usb 
connection. The ground line of the CEBO-LC is separated from the ground line of the computer by a 
galvanic isolation. The galvanic isolation is not suitable as protection against access to hazardous 
voltages. 

To avoid interference, please make sure that no other voltages than shield / ground come into 
contact with the corresponding inputs of the CEBO-LC.

Faulty measuring setups or the connection of voltages outside the maximum input range can be life-
threatening.

Repairs
The unit contains no user-serviceable components. Repair and calibration require special test tools 
and may only be performed by employees of CESYS GmbH or authorized distributors.

Windows XP (32bit) and Vista, 7, 8 (32bit & 64bit)
 1. Download the following packages from the Windows section of our download page:

 2. Start the installation of the driver by double-clicking the file "CeboDriver1.0.1-setup.exe" 

and follow the installation instructions.

 3. Start the installation of CeboLab by double-clicking the file "CeboLab1.3-setup.exe" and 

follow the installation instructions. During installation, a directory is created in the start menu.

 4. Connect the CEBO-LC to your PC.

 5. Start CeboLab. After clicking the Connect button, a screen for device selection appears. Select 

your CEBO-LC.

 6. A click on the Activate Device button starts the data acquisition.

Linux (32bit & 64bit)
 1. Open a terminal window.
 2. With wget http://www.cesys.com/downloads/Cebo/cebomsr-linux.udev.sh you can 

download a small script from our download page, which is required to allow non-root users 
access to CEBO devices.

 3. Start the script as root: sudo sh ./cebomsr-install-udev.sh
 4. With  wget http://www.cesys.com/downloads/Cebo/cebolab-1.3.tar.bz2 you can 

download the CeboLab software from our website.

 5. Untar the package: tar xfvj cebolab-1.3.tar.bz2
 6. Go to the CeboLab installation folder: cd cebolab-1.3
 7. Start the CeboLab installation as root:  sudo sh install.sh
