2  When you are prompted to enter the address of your DiskStation, fill in the ezCloud ID to connect to DSM 

services via QuickConnect. 

If you see the "Network error occurred" message in the 

 field indicating the QuickConnect service is 

stopped due to network errors, please check the following:

Your DiskStation is connected to an active network (at

The DNS server and default gateway settings are properly set (at

When the network errors are fixed, the QuickConnect service should resume automatically within a few minutes. 

VPN Server is an add-on package that enables your DiskStation to become a PPTP/OpenVPN VPN (virtual 

private network) server, allowing DSM local users over the Internet to access resources shared within 

DiskStation's local area network. For more information about VPN, refer to

To install VPN Server on your DiskStation, go to

VPN Server, run and launch the package, and then click its 

 button (with a question mark) at the top-right 

corner. To learn more about how to access DiskStation's VPN Server with a VPN client, refer to the

Go to

 to set your DiskStation as a VPN client to connect to a VPN server, 

and then gain access to the virtual private network. For each VPN server, you can create or modify its connection 

profile, and then use the profile to connect to the server with a simple click. For more information about how to

You are not allowed to set your DiskStation as a VPN server and client at the same time.
