Synology has integrated third party or Synology-designed applications into packages that can be installed on 

DiskStation and managed with Package Center.  
Coming with full-featured applications, Synology DiskStation provides you with a variety of privileges to enjoy 

multimedia contents, share photos, videos, and blogs, access files anytime and anywhere, watch and record live 

view videos, search and download files from the Internet, back up precious data, and build your own cloud. 
This chapter introduces packages available at Package Center and explains how to manage packages, configure 

Package Center, and launch enabled applications.

Following is the brief introduction to the packages currently available at Package Center.

Audio Station: Audio Station is a web-based audio application, allowing you to access the music library on 

your DiskStation or Internet radio, and play music on your computer, iOS/Android devices, or AirPlay devices. 

For those who are particular about sound quality, you can connect an audio adapter to the Synology 

DiskStation and USB speakers to enjoy music. 



 

Antivirus Essential: Antivirus Essential is a free and full-featured antivirus application that can be easily 

installed to safeguard the system partition and files on your DiskStation. 



 

Cloud Station: Cloud Station is a file sharing service that allows you to easily sync files between your 

DiskStation and computers.
