In newer distributions, 

glibc

 is an RPM name. The 32-bit 

glibc

 is named 

similarly to:

glibc-2.3.4-2.i686.rpm OR
glibc-2.3.4-2.i386.rpm

Check your distribution for the exact RPM name.

SLES 10 does not have all of the QLogic (formerly PathScale) hardware listed in 
its 

pciutils

 database. You may see error messages similar to the following after 

running the ifup command:

# ifup eth3
eth3 device: QLogic Corp Unknown device 0010 (rev 02)

This has no effect on 

ipath_ether

,

 so this error message can be safely ignored.

During the first installation of InfiniPath software, 

/etc/initscript

 is created or 

modified to increase the amount of lockable memory (up to 128 MB) for normal 
users. This change will not take effect until the system is rebooted, and jobs may 
fail with error messages about locking memory or failing mmap. This error is 
described in the QLogic MPI Troubleshooting section Lock Enough Memory on 
Nodes When Using a Batch Queuing System

in the QLogic HCA and InfiniPath 

This is not an issue when upgrading to a newer version of InfiniPath software.
